A King's Feast
A sacred kingfisher (kōtare) enjoys its catch of the day. Kingfishers are often seen perched on powerlines or elevated branches near streams, lakes and coastlines as they hunt for small fish, crabs and insects
This kingfisher is adorned with a pounamu pendant in a fish hook design. The fish hook represents strength and determination. It also brings peace, prosperity, good health and is said to provide safe travels over water.
