A tribute to our national bird, the kiwi.
This artwork features the native North Island Brown Kiwi with a flax kete/basket full of New Zealand treasures. Included in the basket are flax, pohutukawa and kowhai flowers, pounamu/greenstone and paua. Also included is the pink & black stone, rhodonite, which can be found in Otago. The kiwi holds a heart shaped pounamu pendant as a symbol of love to our national bird.
