Tawaka Mushroom - Original Pencil Artwork

 'Tawaka' (Poplar mushroom / Cyclocybe parasitica)

Tawaka mushrooms can be found in the wild in many parts of New Zealand, and they can also be cultivated at home as these guys are edible (apparently they're delicious). Tawaka mushrooms grow naturally in the bush, often found on logs, branches and trunks of both dead and living trees. They pop out of cracks and crevices in big clusters. I found a few of these at Mt Pirongia.

• This is the one and only original pencil drawing.

• I've added a complementary double-matted border to the drawing so it is ready to frame. All you need to do is pop it into a 12 x 12 inch (or 305mm) size frame. 

• The drawing size is about 21 x 21cm plus the double mat border to make a total size of 305 x 305mm (12 x 12 inches)
